Meet the NZMS Committee and learn about the volunteers who provide leadership, governance and strategic direction for Masters swimming
The New Zealand Masters Swimming (NZMS) Committee is responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight for the organisation. Committee members are elected to represent the interests of affiliated clubs and individual members, helping ensure that NZMS continues to support swimming for fitness, friendship and competition throughout New Zealand.
The Committee works collaboratively to oversee governance, financial management, strategic planning, membership growth, communications and the delivery of national programmes and events. Through regular meetings and ongoing engagement with clubs and members, the Committee helps ensure that NZMS remains responsive to the needs of the Masters swimming community.
NZMS relies on the dedication of volunteers who contribute their time, knowledge and experience to support the organisation. Committee members bring a range of professional and sporting backgrounds, helping ensure balanced decision-making and effective governance.
Serving on the Committee provides an opportunity to contribute to the future of Masters swimming in New Zealand. Committee members help shape strategic priorities, support organisational development and ensure that NZMS continues to provide value to clubs and members across the country.
Committee members welcome feedback, ideas and questions from members and affiliated clubs. Open communication helps strengthen the organisation and ensures that decisions reflect the needs and aspirations of the wider Masters swimming community.
